Is an insidious disease.
It does not discriminate
As to age
Or social status.
It is no respecter of persons.
If caught early enough,It can be beaten down
By radiation and chemotherapy
And kept away by medicine.
But most times,
It is a parasite that feeds off its host
Moving to other places in the body
To wreak havoc there as well.
It leaves sorrow in its wake
As those who have lost loved ones
To this insidious disease
Mourn their losses and sometimes wonder,
"Am I next?"
Yet there is hope
That someday a cure may be found
And this infernal disease
Would not torment and kill any more.
As for me, I look forward to the day
When this becomes reality:
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4
